Flashback! Michael's looking mighty fine for his job interview. He's also looking pretty good in the present as he takes his suit from his R & D box. I know Wentworth Miller has complained about having to wear the same thing every day, but he looks good in blue. Anyway, he slides down a pipe and ends up in a vertical drain shaft. He looks up and sees a grate waaay above him (twenty feet). He rips apart his snazzy suit and pulls out a long-ass rope and garbage bag. He stuffs his suit in the bag and ties one end of the rope to the bag. He then wedges it in a drain, between the wall and floor.

T-Bag's in the yard, yammering on the phone, asking about the "baby boy." His conversation turns to business, though when he spies Abruzzi. He tells Jimmy that "things are gettin' pretty tense."

Linc and Michael are doing what they usually do on PI: discuss the Great Escape and get little to no actual PI work done. Linc brings up the fact that there's too many Great Escapees, just in case Michael forgot or something. C-Note overhears this and shares the news with the rest of the class.

Everyone, sans T-Bag, is in the NSB and no one is thrilled about the turn of events. Abruzzi figures they can cut T-Bag, but not so fast! The man himself appears and says he's taken out an "insurance policy." He's got a guy on the outside who'll call the warden if he doesn't hear from T-Bag five minutes before the Escape and twenty minutes after.

As they leave the NSB, C-Note plants seeds of doubt in Sucre's mind. "He (Michael) probably tells you, the less you know, the better, right?"

The yard. Michael checks out an old water line as Newbie brings up his lack of a PI assignment. Michael sort of blows him off.

The 3 Stooges arrive at the hospital. Shot Stooge tells Chick Stooge to remove the bullet since doctors are required to report gunshot wounds to the cops. I get that Nick's delirious from the pain and all, but I'd much rather have L.J. dig out the bullet. He's much smarter than Veronica.

Infirmary. Michael's alone (of course) and uses the time (and a mop, which was just lying about) to break through the floor beneath the floor drain. Remember, the one he kept pouring corrosive chemicals down? He tosses another swan through the grate, then hustles to put the mop away when he hears Bellick's dulcet tone. Bellick lets Michael know that he knows about the credit card and calls LB a "whore" and taunts Michael some more. Doc arrives and gets rid of Bellick. Michael tries to explain his "just business" marriage to Doc, but she's not really listening.

We catch up with T-Bag, who's really worried that Westmoreland won't fit in on the outside, what with all the "computer phones, boobies made out of silicone." He wants Westmoreland to bow out of the Escape, but Westmoreland declines.

Abruzzi gets a copy of the yard phone's records and tells Linc that T-Bag chatted with one James Bagwell. He says he's got a guy who'll lock Jimmy up for a few days so he can't squeal and that T-Bag's "no longer a threat, trust me."

And we cut to Jimmy, playing outside with his son. Non-Incarcerated Abruzzi Thug shows up and says he's got a delivery.

And we head back to the hospital where a doctor's calling Veronica on her Lies! about Nick's wound. L.J. scans the paper and sees a funeral notice for his mother so he splits.

Soon-to-be-Decomposing Hale drives into a cemetery and takes a call from his mean, mean partner. Evil Being figures L.J. will show up at his mom's grave sooner or later and all Hale has to do is follow him back to the lawyers.

Abruzzi's on the phone getting some not so good news. Seems things went wrong with the attempted kidnapping (do these types of things ever go right?) and both Jimmy and his kid are dead. Abruzzi doesn't like what he's hearing and wants to know more about the kid. Boy or girl? How old? He needs these details to feed his Catholic Guilt.

Sucre's also getting some news, from Maricruz, who's popped in for a visit. She's pregnant, with his son. But don't hand out those cigars yet, Sucre! Slimy Hector has asked Maricruz to marry him and she doesn't know what her answer will be. She doesn't want to raise her baby alone.

Kellerman was right, L.J. shows up and sobs all over his mother's casket (don't they lower them into the ground during the ceremony?). Hale observes this and reports back to Kellerman.

Bedtime at Fox River. Michael's gonna head out and Sucre wants to go join him. Michael says no, he needs a look-out and promises to be back in ten.

Cellie Abruzzi Thug wants to know where Abruzzi wants T-Bag tomorrow, but Abruzzi is feelin' the guilt and can't focus.

Michael's in the vertical drain shaft and turns on the water, but no water comes out. He checks the spout and a dirty drop of water lands on his finger. A smile crosses his face, so I guess that dirty drop of water was a good thing.

More Catholic Guilt. Abruzzi's having a nightmare in which he's clean-shaven and attending a child's funeral. He awakens and crosses himself.

Hell yeah! If I have to wait six months for Prison Break to return, at least I'll have Jack Bauer & Co. to help pass the time. Jack's back baby!

And now back to our regularly sheduled programming. L.J. returns to the hospital. Hale follows, but refrains from bursting into Nick's room.

Fox River. C-Note acquires some postcards. Hmmm, yeah, no idea.

The Pope pays a visit to T-Bag and gives him the news about Jimmy and James Jr. Robert Knepper rocks!

Abruzzi's sought spiritual guidance with the chaplain who urges him to blah blah religious speak. We get clips of Abruzzi's crimes: the Fib-witnessed killing, Michael's pedicure and turning FAT into One-Eyed FAT.

Sucre gives C-Note an update on Michael's progress in the pipes.

The yard. Sticky Fingers Guard points out Newbie to Bellick and says, "That's the little thumbsucker that swiped my watch." It took him half an hour before he realized it was gone. Bellick asks SFG whose watch it was in the first place and SFG gives him Michael's name.

PI yardwork. Michael tells Westmoreland to keep an eye out for guards as he tries to turn on the old water line. It's a bit rusted so he uses a rake for leverage. He manages to turn it on and we get a shot of the vertical drain shaft filling with water. Michael times himself then shuts off the water. He hustles over when Horny Guard calls for PI to line up and gives Westmoreland a sly smile.

Abruzzi's skipped PI in favor of some bible studying in his cell. As he reads a passage, he hides half a pair of scissors in his sleeve.

Abruzzi Thugs grab T-Bag and haul him into the Garden Shed of Doom.

Sucre and Michael are back in their cell and Sucre's busy making a list of names for his baby. Oscar, Carlos, Alejandro. Michael's planning on going into the pipes again and Sucre bugs him for info. "Why would you want to be responsible for potentially dangerous information? The less you know, the better. It's for your own good." (Ding ding ding! Go C-Note!).

Bellick's chatting up Newbie which is quite an accomplishment considering he's stuffing his face with fast food. I mean, seriously. God, my seven-year-old chews more quietly than that man. Newbie's basically drooling all over Bellick's fries. In between, around, under and over mouthfuls of burger, fries and milkshake (again, seriously!), Bellick lays it down: he knows Newbie snatched the watch and he could send him to the SHU for it. But he won't, if Newbie promises to report back to him every time he and Michael chat. Bellick even gives Newbie a cheeseburger. I know prison food can't be great, but Newbie was acting as if he hadn't eaten in weeks.

Hale's gone home. Now I thought he lived in DC. So, what did he leave the hospital (in Illinois) and fly back to DC in the few hours between his last scene and this one? He managed to do that without alerting his evil partner, who, I might add, is waiting to hear that Hale's caught the 3 Stooges? I love this show, but sometimes it makes my head hurt. ANYWAY, Hale tells his still pregnant wife (is that a different actress?) that he's been thinking about moving, changing jobs, etc. He says he feels bad 'cuz he's always on the road and blah blah. Pregnant Wife isn't your typical stupid wife of a Bad Guy, she guesses (correctly) that something's up.

NSB. Linc reminds the others that Michael's coming in through the Hole so they have to get through.

And we see just what Michael's been up to. He's at the vertical drain shaft which is now filled with water. So Michael strips. That's right. S-T-R-I-P-S! Off come the clothes, save for his white boxers 'cuz this is FOX, not HBO. Pause Rewind Play. Pause Rewind Play. Pause ...okay, sorry. He braces himself (that water's gotta be ice cold) and jumps in. Anyone else having a certain Seinfeld flashback? Woo-hoo, Nearly-Naked Michael's underwater, engaged in a little knot-tying. He then swims to the surface which is mere inches from the grate at the top of the shaft. He pushes the grate aside and climbs out. He's in some type of storage building and looky here! There's a swan on the floor. He yanks on the rope and pulls the garbage bag from the drain causing the water ro empty out of the shaft. He ties the rope to the grate and (still gloriously nearly-naked) walks over to some shelves. He climbs them and peeks through a hole in the ceiling. He can see into the infirmary through said hole. I'm gonna need a minute (or several) before continuing. Still nearly-naked. Sigh.

Hospital room of shot lawyers. Veronica answers the phone and it's Hale, although he doesn't identify himself. He says he's got info that can exonerate Linc. He wants to meet with her tomorrow and, oh yeah, it's not a trap. Exactly how gullible is Veronica? I mean, we've always known Hale was the Bad Guys' weak link, but she doesn't know that.

Garden Shed of Doom. Abruzzi shows up and dismisses the Thugs. T-Bag proceeds to beg for his life and, again, Robert Knepper: awesome! Abruzzi takes out his half-a-scissors and says T-Bag brought it on himself and that he, Abruzzi, is simply "an emissary for all the pain and suffering you caused. All the families you ruined, all the kids." T-Bag says sure he's killed, but what about Jimmy and his little boy? They were innocents too. Abruzzi figures he's got God's forgiveness and blah blah. He says he'll spare T-Bag if he swears to back out of the Escape. T-Bag agrees. Abruzzi: "All right, all right! I have forgiven you. I have forgiven you. You just have to pray that the Lord, Jesus Christ, will do the same." He puts his half-a-scissors away and turns to leave. Never turn your back on a wounded animal, Abruzzi! T-Bag gets up and removes a teeny razor from his mouth. What if he had accidentally swallowed it? "Hey, John, you know actually, about Jesus," (slices Abruzzi's throat) "say 'hi' to him for me, will ya?"

NSB. C-Note breaks through just as Michael arrives at the Hole. Linc comes in and warns of a guard. Westmoreland tells him to stall. Linc's idea of stalling SFG is to stand around looking shifty. He keeps blocking the entrance into the NSB. SFG warns Linc if he doesn't back off, he'll be sent to the SHU. So Linc decks him. Yeah, I think Michael got all the brains in that family. The jury's still out on L.J., but after his takedown of the Crafty Quinn last week, he jumped ahead of his dad in the brains department. Anyway, Westmoreland sees a couple of other guards haul Linc away. The Great Escapees help Michael outta the Hole and he announces, "Well, we leave tonight." He notices Linc's absence and Westmoreland tells him, "Michael, we got a big problem." Actually, you got more than one, but you don't know about the dead mob boss yet.

Lainattua:
Michael (to Sucre): Why would you want to be responsible for potentially dangerous information? The less you know, the better. It's for your own good.

Sucre: I'm not going to dig if I'm not going to go.

T-Bag: Things are getting pretty tense, like they're fixing to collide.

Sara: You don’t have to explain it to me, Michael.
Michael: I know. (pause) But I want to.

Michael: I found our access to the infirmary building but I’m gonna need some time to make it work.
Lincoln: How much time?
Michael: Enough for me to find my way up a 20 foot vertical drainpipe without using a ladder.
